As mentioned above the last two champions of the 3M Open are in the field this week. Tony Finau is playing this week after a disappointing showing in the Open Championship. 

Finau missed the cut for only the second time this year and stopped his top-ten finish streak at three. Finau finished T7 last year at this event nine strokes behind Lee Hodges. 

Lee Hodges returns to the site of his lone PGA victory. It has been an up-and-down year for Hodges. He is consistently making cuts but has not cracked the top ten in any tournaments this year. 

I’m personally excited to see how two of the younger golfers in this championship fare against an experienced field. 

Luke Clanton the amature golfer hailing from Florida State University has been on fire! The twenty-year-old has two top-ten finishes this year in four starts. His high water mark was a tie for second at the John Deere Classic. 

The other twenty-something, Pierceson Cody is coming off his best finish in his rookie season on tour. Cody finished second, after a playoff, at the ISCO Championship two weeks prior. Cody has been killing it on the greens. His putting plays a role in my AI betting prediction for the 3M Open.
