Preview and Analysis for Broncos vs Bengals AI Prediction
Let's preview these two teams before I show you how I used the Rithmm App to create custom sports betting models to get my AI prediction.
Broncos Preview
Denver enters this game coming off of a difficult loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in a Thursday night game 34 - 27. The Broncos went into halftime with a 21 - 13 lead and watched that slowly dissipate as the Chargers stormed back in the second half putting up 21 points and holding the Broncos to two field goals.
Denver head coach Sean Payton shared his frustration after the game, "We had a fast start, and then uncharacteristically this season, we didn’t finish or play nearly well enough in the second half, both offensively and defensively.”
Starting quarterback Bo Nix continued his stellar season going 29 of 40 for 263 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions and two sacks. Nix has thrown for 3,235 yards this season with 22 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
The Broncos have the ninth best defense in the league giving up 319.6 yards per game and having only allowed 28 touchdowns and are led by safety Brandon Jones who has 101 tackles on the season with three interceptions and a fumble recovery.
Denver is 9 - 6 on the season and are ranked 19th in the ESPN NFL Power Index 2024.
Bengals Preview
Cincinnati looks to have righted the ship after a 1 - 4 stretch midway through the season and have won three in a row including a 24 - 6 win last week against the in-state rival Cleveland Browns.
But it could be too little too late.
Quarterback Joe Burrow had another solid game going 23 of 30 for 252 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions, though he was sacked four times. Burrow threw to his favorite target in Ja'Marr Chase who had six catches for 97 yards and one late touchdown.
Cincinnati has an outside chance of getting into the playoffs with wins today against the Broncos and next week against the Steelers but will require a lot of help as the Broncos would need to lose their last two games (Bengals, Chiefs) and both the Colts and Dolphins would need to lose one of their last two remaining games each for the Bengals to get in.
The Bengals have the 28th ranked defense in the NFL giving up 359.9 yards and 48 touchdowns and will need to tighten up against this Broncos offense to keep that outside chance at a playoff birth alive.
Cincinnati is 7 - 8 on the season and are ranked 12th in the ESPN NFL Power Index 2024.
How I Used Rithmm Models for my Broncos vs Bengals AI Prediction
Both teams are looking to secure a playoff spot and will be motivated to win, especially the Bengals as they need to win out while the Broncos just need a win, but also because the Bengals will play the Steelers next week while the Broncos have the Chiefs who will definitely be sitting their starters.
This should be a fun game and, unlike that debacle they called a football game in Chicago on Thursday, I'm looking forward to watching it.
As you can see in my Rithmm model above, the Bengals are a solid favorite today and my model gives them a 63.6% win probability. You can actually get this line as low as -3 today and that's a great number to grab if you can. The Bengals are also the favorite with a 60% bet split as the money is on the home team.
The Bengals need this win and the Broncos still have next week if they can't pull it out. The motivation here is clear and I think the Bengals will handle business today.
I'll take the Bengals -3.
