Previews and Analysis for Dayton vs Cincinnati AI Prediction
Let's have a look at these two teams before I show you how I used the Rithmm App to create custom sports betting models to get my AI prediction.
Dayton Preview
The Flyers come into this game riding a 5-game winning streak. They are currently 10 - 2 overall and have yet to play a conference game in the Atlantic 10.
Dayton played three nights ago and took a close win over UNLV 66 - 65 extending their home winning streak to 25 games which is the fifth-longest in Division I.
Nate Santos put in 14 points along with four rebounds to lead the Flyers on Tuesday while Zed Key scored 13 points, 11 of them in the second half, and four rebounds with one assist. Malachi Smith had the shot of the night scoring five of his 11 points in the final 37 seconds and draining a three-point play to ice the win.
Dayton is ranked 22nd in the AP Top 25 and 56th in the ESPN Men's College Power Index 2024-25.
Cincinnati Preview
The Bearcats enter tonight with an 8 - 1 overall record and last played six days ago when they beat Xavier 68 - 65 to extend their winning streak to two games.
Simas Lukosius leads the team averaging 16 points per game. He put in 14 points with four rebounds and two assists against Xavier and, along with Aziz Bandaogo, who had 12 points with five rebounds and an assist, helped push the Bearcats past the Musketeers.
While Cincinnati has leaned heavily into their 3-points shooting this year, they struggled against Xavier going 5 - 20 and will need to find that stroke again to keep up with the fast-paced Flyers.
Of note, Cincinnati is now 11 - 1 (5 - 0 this season) when Bandaogo scores in double figures.
Cincinnati is ranked 19th in the AP Top 25 and 22nd in the ESPN Men's College Power Index 2024-25.
Models for my Dayton vs Cincinnati AI Prediction
This should be a tight game and I'm looking forward to it as my game of the night. Both teams know how to score and while Cincinnati averages 8.9 three-pointers per game, which is 1.8 more made shots than the 7.1 that Dayton typically gives up, Dayton averages 19.1 more points per game (78.7) than the Bearcats defense gives up (59.6).
I'm not a masochist, I admit that I do like to take these borderline games and roll the dice, but on Wednesday I wrote about a nearly identical set-up with the Oklahoma vs Michigan game. It was a neutral court game, the line was basically the same +3.5 to Oklahoma, it had a 57.7% win probability and KenPom predicted Oklahoma should lose by three.
It hit.
So when my Rithmm models are this dialed in, I tend to listen to them. And this game looks to be a duplicate of what we saw on Wednesday. Cincinnati is laying the -3 points, the bet split is sitting at 72% for the Bearcats and the line, while dipping to -2.5 at one point, is sitting solidly at -3 while Cincinnati is a three-point favorite to win according to KenPom.
Look, I could be wrong. And I'm okay being wrong sometimes. Hell, this model has been wrong 78 times this season, but it's also been right 84 times and with a 58.6% win probability, I have to go with the model.
I like this set-up way too much to let it go by so I'll be taking Dayton +3 tonight.
And I promise I'm not a masochist.
