Dolphins vs Titans: NFL Predictions - MNF

Welcome to Week 4 of Monday Night Football! We have another doubleheader for tonight's MNF game! The Miami Dolphins welcome the Tennessee Titans to the Sunshine State in an AFC matchup between two struggling teams.

These are two teams that we thought would bein totally different spots closing out the first quarter of the 20-24 NFL season.

The Dolphins, on one hand, were expected to challenge for the top spot in the AFC. Led by Tua Tagovailoa and superstar WRs Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, things were supposed to be smooth sailing. Then the concussion for Tagovailoa happened, and things went from bad to worse when backup QB Skylar Thompson also went dwn with an inury.

Now it's free agent pickup Tyler "Snoop" Huntley in at QB, but the former Pro Bowler is no slouch. With a game closely modeled after Lamar Jackson, the former Raven is very dangerous on the ground and can also throw the ball, so the Titans can't fall asleep at the wheel.

On the other side of things, the Titans were supposed to be much better on offense than this. QB Will Levis has made poor decision after poor decision, with new HC Brian Callahan even taking potshots at his QB in a couple of press conferences. This is a spot where the Titans can get right, but they need to be smart against the Dolphins.

Win Probability: 54.6%

This bet is about the total, but can we talk real quick about the fact that even with their literal fourth option at quarterback, the Dolphins are STILL favored over the Titans in this matchup? Talk about a downturn for Tennessee.

Anyways, this total feels too low for me. Both teams have struggled on offense, but I think we're underrating the offenses, in particular the Dolphins'. Huntley was a Pro Bowler a couple seasons ago, and he has plenty of experience moving the ball as a starting NFL QB. HC Mike McDaniel is smart, he's going to put Huntley in good spots and let him find Tyreek and Waddle downfield.

I also think that this is a great spot for the Titans' offense. We called RB Tony Pollard a possible breakout star after Week 1, but while he's quieted down stat-wise, he still profiles as a candidate to see solid work here. Miami has given up points to RBs in multiple spots this season and he and Tyjae Spears could quietly feast.

I see this as a 24-20 type of game, both quarterbacks possess the ability to add on spots with their legs as well as the arm, so give me the over.
