The matchup features the 1-1 Packers, who got their first win of the season last week behind backup quarterback Malik Willis and the 0-2 Titans, whose first-year head coach, Brian Callahan, is still looking to right the ship and for his first career win. Green Bay Packers Preview
The Green Bay Packers came into the 2024 season with lofty expectations after inking their franchise quarterback, Jordan Love, to, at the time, the largest contract for a quarterback in NFL history. They are 6th in the league at converting in third down with a 46.4 percent conversion rate.
The defense has also held up for this Packers team. After giving up 34 points to the Eagles, they came back to force 3 interceptions and allowed just 10 points against the Colts.
The Packers just need to stay afloat until their franchise quarterback is able to return and leaning on a strong running game and a stout defense could do the trick.
Tennessee Titans Preview
The Tennessee Titans entered the 2024 season with a new Head Coach and a new, young quarterback. Brian Callahan and Will Levis were anointed as the duo to lead the Titans back to the playoffs and to usher them into a new era of Titans football. Needless to say, it has not gone according to plan just yet.
Through two weeks, the Titans rank 26th in total offense by yards and 6th worst in passing yards per game with 137 per game. The offense has scored just 34 total points and has five turnovers in the first two games. A few that are so inexplicable, you have to wonder what was going through their minds. Lastly, they are converting on just 30.8 percent of third downs
They led the Bears 17-0 before giving up 24 unanswered points to lose 24-17 in week 1 and then took an early lead against the Jets in week 2 before falling by the same score of 24-17.
The rushing game has been the best part of the Titans offense at the start to the season. They rank 13th in total rushing yards with 270 led by Tony Pollard and Levis.
The defense has also been relatively solid in 2024. They have held opponents to just 413 total yards which is the best in the league with their passing defense leading that charge. They have four sacks, 14 tackles for loss, and 7 seven QB hits through two games.
The Titans will most definitely lean on their defense to stay close in games and hope the offense doesn’t turn the ball over and give up short fields.

The spread and over/under on this game is Packers +2.5 and 38. The Packers getting points and being the under dog was a surprise to me at first glance and the low over/under makes perfect sense due to the offense and quarterbacks that both of these teams are throwing out there on Sunday.
My initial thoughts are the over/under is too low to find an edge on and that the Packers, who are presumably the better team, shouldn’t be the under dogs.
The other important note is that in their last five games, the Packers are 3-2 against the spread and the Titans are 1-4.

This model has the Packers favored and at a spread of -1.9. This is a huge edge of 4.4 points on the given spread. This was also a recommended bet according to the Rithmm app.
Finally, the “Well Rounded” model that I customized weighs all of the available categories equally. With all categories and the Rithmm ranks all relatively aligned, the model has almost the exact given spread. This model has Packers +2.6, so just a slight edge towards the Titans. My Packers vs Titans AI Prediction
With my own research and two of the three models giving significant edges towards the Packers, I am inclined to stick with my initial thoughts and taking the points on the spread. I feel the coaching will be a big difference in this one with the Packers coaching staff formulating a winning game plan for their inexperienced quarterback. The turnover prone Titans will make too many mistakes to keep them from covering this spread. All of that being said, I’m taking the PACKERS +2.5 in the Packers vs Titans match up.
