The Saints came out of the gate fast and impressive with wins against the Panthers and Cowboys. 

It appears that was a mirage as both Carolina and Dallas have shown to be underperforming teams. 

Since the Saints' week two victory over the Cowboys, they have lost five straight games. 

In the last three games, things have gone off the rails with the Saints being defeated by an average of 20 points a game. 

A key to NOLA being blown out the last three weeks has been injuries. 

• Starting QB Derek Carr, was out the last two games with an oblique injury 
• Star WR Chris Olave missed the last game with a concussion 

Head Coach Dennis Allen told the media that Carr has started a throwing program. I don’t believe he will play this week. 

Olave is listed as questionable but still in the concussion protocol. This is his third concussion in his short three-year career. I would be surprised if they let him play.

LA hired Jim Harbaugh away from the University of Michigan in the offseason. He has installed his hardnosed run first offense leading to low scores but some success. 

QB Justin Herbert has done a great job of managing this new offense. He has six touchdown passes against one interception. Last year through six games he had four interceptions. 

Herbert had his best game last week against the Cardinals.

The problem was they only scored 15 points and lost the game 17-15 but Herbert throwing more is an encouraging sign for this offense.
