This could be a sneakily interesting primetime game, as both the Cowboys and the Steelers have been somewhat disappointing to start the season.

Despite starting 3-0 before last week's loss to the Indianapolis Colts, Justin Fields and the Steelers had been rolling behind key offensive plays and a defense that refused to give a single inch. George Pickens has been the only consistent option on the offensive side of the ball, but it's inevitable that at some point you need more than that to really compete in this league.

The Cowboys, on the other hand, have looked out to sorts all season long. After a double-digit win against the Cleveland Browns to kick things off, The Cowboys lost back-to-back games against the Saints and Ravens, of which neither were close, and things looked sketchy. Add in a game last Thursday against the Giants while only scoring 20 points and all of a sudden, the Cowboys looked vulnerable.

In terms of the main reason this play was chosen, the current line has to be the chief culprit. My Rithmm model loves the Cowboys in this spot and labels them a -2.9 point favorite, a near-five point swing.

The Cowboys have an offense that could feasibly score some points on this Steelers' vaunted defense. WR CeeDee Lamb lines up in the slot enough that he won't see top CB Joey Porter on a majority of routes.

On the Steelers' side of things, an they generate enough offense to keep up with the Cowboys here? Maybe, but there are some doubts about this defense now after watching them melt down against the Colts last week.
