Travelers Championship 2024: Round 4 Best Bets & AI Caddie Pick
Table of Contents
We've had a handful of weather delays slow things down at the Travelers Championship this week, but 54 holes have officially been completed and there is a packed leaderboard at the top. Tom Kim leads at -18, but both Akshay Bhatia and Scottie Scheffler sit one shot back and are very well in play.
Following every round, we’ll be going through my favorite AI golf picks for the following round, as well as the Rithmm-backed AI Caddie hole score picks I’m rolling with. Let’s get into Round 4!

Travelers Championship Round 4 AI Caddie Pick
Wyndham Clark to Birdie or Better Hole 2 (+140)
It's been a while since I've seen our AI Caddie model put someone at a 40% chance to birdie a Par 4, but when you birdie it two out of three rounds and it's played as thefourth and third-easiest hole over the last two days, it makes perfect sense to take a swing.
Like noted, our Rithmm AI Caddie says Clark has a 40% chance to birdie this hole, and while the implied odds of +140 are 41.7%, I'm still happy to take a play here. Clark has the ability to fly his tee shot on this hole almost all the way to the green, and with the pin in the back, he'll have plenty of green to work with.
Travelers Championship Round 4 Best Bet
Matchup Play: Justin Thomas > Shane Lowry (-130)
0-2 on matchups this week. We aren't going down without a fight here!
Both Lowry and Thomas sit at -14 heading into Sunday, and both realistically not only have a shot to win this tournament but also have played well all around to get to this point, with solid weeks on approach and ballstriking.
Why are we taking a juiced Thomas then, if they're so even, you ask? Well, quite simply it comes down to the energy during Round 4 being a bit different, especially at an elevated event. Neither player has won a Signature event before, but if you ask me who I want in contention on a Sunday between the two, all things equal, it's Thomas.
JT has simply been here more times before. It certainly helps that this season, he ranks 46th in Round 4 Scoring Average with a 69.4 average, and Lowry's is a paltry 168th, sitting at 72.3.
I legitimately think that Thomas has a shot to win this event with a low round tomorrow, something that my Rithmm model of the week agrees with, giving Thomas a 4% chance to win when the implied odds at +4000 are 2.4%.
