3 Pointers Model
Our 3 pointers model focuses on not just how often but how efficient a team shoots from beyond the arc. As shown in the graphic below, I adjusted the model factors so that three-pointers factors has the most weight.
In this matchup between the Phoenix Mercury and the Seattle Storm, the Mercury have really utilized the 3 pointer hitting at a 34.7% from deep while the Storm sit in the middle of the pack hitting 3's at just a 32.2% rate.

Tempo Model
The tempo model is used to determine which teams have the most possessions within the 40 minute game. In this model, I turned the Tempo factor all the way up to see how that affected the Mercury vs Storm AI pick.

Tonight, the Storm play a really strong brand of basketball on defense with a defensive rating of 94.4 while the Mercury are right above the struggling Fever with a rating of 104.4.

They are 5th in the entire WNBA when it comes to difference, beating teams by an average of 4.2 points.

Based off my my models, I believe that the Storm are one of the best teams in the league winning their last 4 games in a row as the Mercury are just 1-4 in their last 5 games.
